CEO / Owner

Rodney brings nearly 40 years of experience in the audio/visual field. He began his career running the soundboard for his high school’s musical productions. Rodney was the Audio Visual Director for a worldwide music ministry for 19 years. He went on to run the Visalia branch of JD Audio Visual-Pasadena from 2002-2010. In 2011, he and his wife Julie decided it was time to run their own AV business, and launched Experience AVL. His years of on-the-job training have made him an expert in pro audio, video and lighting. He oversees the Sales Division and Design/Integration for the company.



CFO / VP of Marketing and Development

Julie has an extensive background in business administration and marketing. Julie is in charge of the finances and the marketing for Experience AVL. Prior to starting Experience AVL along with her husband, Rodney, she was the Business Administrator at First Presbyterian Church and Office Manager at Visalia Christian Schools. Julie owned her own direct sales business for ten years as well. She holds a B.S. in Communications from the University of Illinois.



Rentals Manager

Kurtis Boyd serves as the Rentals Manager for Experience AVL LLC servicing our growing Rentals Division. In his role, Kurtis oversees and manages all aspects involving AVL equipment rental as well as technician services. Kurtis joined Experience AVL at its inception in 2011. Prior to joining Experience AVL, Kurtis worked for JD Audio Visual-Visalia for six years, and traveled as a sound technician with a worldwide music ministry for three years. He holds an Associates Degree in Math.
